JUNE: Five years ago I lost my vision in my right eye. I had no idea what happened. A neighbor sent me here. I didn’t know where to go. It was about a year ago last August I started having problems with my vision in this eye. To make a long story short I came and I was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration. So I started with Lucentis and I just had my 4% shot last week and I’m doing better than I was and I’m maintained. Thank God for that because I have to save this eye. Things look normal again. Everything was very distorted. My husband had lumps on his head. I play golf. The golfballs looked like an egg. My coffee cups would be swirling. I would have to hang on to it to pour coffee and just so many things I can’t even begin to tell you. I see things normally. Distance-wise I do pretty good. I have difficulty reading so I use magnifying glasses for that, large print. Everybody has been great. Everybody has been very nice and very supportive. I thank God every night that I am still able to see and that is the truth.
