DR. JOHN T. LIVECCHI: The scope of an Ostuloplastic surgeon here at St. Luke’s Cataract Laser Institute is really four different headings. One is Ostuloplastics itself which I defined earlier. Second is the cosmetic aspect. We perform a lot of cosmetic surgery here whether it is the fillers as I mentioned, Restylane, Radiesse, whatever it may be. Botox is a common procedure that we give here at St. Luke’s almost daily. So you have the first area which is Ostuloplastic and you then have the second of cosmetic and then there’s skin cancers. We live in sunny Florida. Many people develop different kinds of skin cancer. In fact any lump or bump on any part of the body, particularly the face, should be looked at. Because one never knows what it is. The last is lesions, moles, and little cysts. That’s pretty much it. So the four regions are Ostuloplastic, comestic, cancer, and the lesions, moles, and the cysts.
