DR. JOHN T. LIVECCI: It has always been my policy throughout my career to make sure that the patient comes first. I stress that with the medical students who rotate with me and the residents that rotate with me. The patient comes first, case closed. I try to make the patient feel comfortable. 99% of the time the patient walks into my office. If they’re a little bit nervous I can guarantee by the time they walk out of my office they feel very relaxed, confident, and comfortable. I have a very good report with my patients. When a patient walks into my office I like to make the patient feel comfortable as I mentioned earlier. One of the things I like to make them understand is that safety is an important issue in my practice. Safety comes first. Secondly, ethics. Third, the predictability of what is going to be the turnout and last is stability and how long this thing is going to last. Well whatever it may be—that could be for any surgery, not specifically for cosmetic surgery. But in general that is what I like to stress to that patient.
