DR. JOHN T. LIVECCHI: Hi, my name is Dr. John Livecchi. I’m the Director of Oculoplastic Surgery here at St. Luke’s Cataract and Laser Institute in Tarpon Springs, Florida. An Oculoplastic Surgeon is a sub-specialist who concerns himself with the bones, glands, muscles, and skin that surround, support, and aide in the proper functioning of the eye. Over the years oculoplastic surgeons in general have expanded their scope of practice. We have actually gone to different areas outside of the area around the eye and that make include things like brow lifts, face lifts and neck lifts along with many other cosmetic procedures. We use the fillers such as Restlin and Radius. We’ll inject Botox quite often for patients who need some sort of a lift here and there.
